I'm part of a local disaster response team; we set up animal shelters when there have been disasters. Today, we're doing a training session on large animal rescue. Our team is pretty much the only group in Kansas with this training/skill set.
The weekend after we get back, I'll be helping train new volunteers for the Community Emergency Response Team. This is a group of neighbors helping neighbors after a disaster. Outside of cruise travel and arranging trips so others can live their best vacations, this is my passion project.
If you'll be on the ship with us and would like to know more, I will make time to talk about it.
